A break from your favorite doesn't have to be boring. Sure, increase your water intake and give your liver a break, but you can still enjoy things and be healthy. Here is a guide to some excellent tried and tested products that can help quench that thirst and yet give you and your liver a break in January.
For the wine lover, FRE! The famous Sutter Home wines make FRE. The wines are made in a . traditional fashion, and then the alcohol is removed, leaving you with the excellent wine taste you are used to, just minus the alcohol. This is a great choice and can easily be found under $10/bottle.
You can check them out here.
BTW they also launched cans that are alcohol-free. They aren't in full distribution yet, but you can go to your big box store and request them to see your state has them.
For the instant Cocktail lover, Tres Agaves Mix! This is my go-to when I feel like having a delicious tasting Margarita without the Tequila. The quality is like drinking a premium Margarita at a full-scale bar, due to its organic nature by using real Agave. They also have a Strawberry flavored Margarita mix and a Bloody Mary mix, all organic and natural. These can be found under $10 retail and come in a Liter sized bottle vs. the 750ml most others sell. You can check them out here.
For Spirit Lover, Lyre's! This Aussie company makes a wide range of non-alcoholic spirits from Gin, Liqueurs, Whiskies, Rum to Absinthe. I have not personally tried these yet, but I heard they are great. You can check them out here.
For the botanical lover, SeedLip! "Over 300 years ago, it was common for physicians to distill herbal remedies using copper stills, harnessing the power of nature & alchemy to solve medical maladies. In 1651, one such physician, John French, published The Art of Distillation, documenting these non-alcoholic recipes. At that same time, a family in Lincolnshire had started farming, hand-sowing seeds using baskets called 'seedlips'." You can check them out here.
I hope some of these help you stay dry but not bored in January. Cheers & Happy New Year!
A few of these are on my list to try. I love the option of the flavor without the actual alcohol.
