The Macallan Aera, released in 2018 for the Taiwanese market, is a bold release for the Speyside distillery designed primarily for the Taiwanese nightclub market. Matured primarily in Sherry Seasoned Oak casks, the distillery claims 'an exquisite whisky experience'.
Nose: Well balanced with vanilla, dried and citrus fruits.
Palate: Hints of chocolate, dried fruit, smooth honey with a sweet citrus burst.
Finish: Medium to long, with lingering vanilla and a gently warmth.
